Machine Knitting

A development of the industrial revolution and very popular, domestically, in the 70's. Interest waned but is now on the up again. Machines can be single bed, fine gauge to chunky, with or without a ribber, double bed or circular. (Primarily used for making socks).

If using wool, lengths of fabric can be knitted, felted and cut and sewn, so the two crafts sit well together.
